Late note on a cool hotel I stayed at in Ubud, Bali a couple of weeks ago.
It was one of them where the owner (or whoever else) picks you from the street and takes you there – one of the ones we usually go see to have a general idea and often discard.
This time however me and Alle were right away impressed by the easygoing and funny manners of the woman who got us from the bus stop, the owner of Tunjung Bungalows, in Sungriwa Street (you can find the map here).
The place is within walking distance of any popular places in Ubud town, such as the Monkey Forest, Ubud Market and Main Road.
We paid Rs 150,000 for a big double room (with extra bed), including hot water, wifi and breakfast. The rooms look really cool from outside, while inside are much simpler but very clean and with all the basic necessities.
Definitely recommend it if you’re on budget!
